What Is Veganism

Vegan is a term came into existence in the year 1944, representing the non diary vegetarian and non exploitation of animals. With the increasing interest of people, it came on a commercial scale and vegan products become widely accepted these days... 

It is a practice of rejecting the animal made commodities and animal products, the people who practice it are called Vegan. There are various categories and differentiation in the variety of veganism as it is not only about the meat products but other animal made products also.

Let us elaborate certain types of Veganism:

 

1) Dietary Vegans: These are strict vegetarians that do not consume any animal product.

 

2) Ethical Vegan: These are the people who not only follow veganism in diet but also in all other domains, they oppose animal uses for all purposes.

 

3) Environmental Veganism: This refers to the avoidance of harvesting and animal farming as it is environment damaging.

 

Veganism

Vegans are the one who follows the food or diet without meat products, dairy products and other derivatives of animal product. This has always been controversial that the products like honey, are vegan or not, vegan people avoids the use of any such product that is made from or are tested on animals, or are derived from them in any way as the fabric products of wool, leather and fur etc.

 

Food for Vegan

It may be grains, pulses, leguminous foods, vegetable and fruits; it may also include the Vegan mayonnaise, cheese and ice creams also.

 

Protein as a rich source in vegetarian diet

Protein is an important material that forms human body and it combines to form the amino acids which serve as the fundamental block for the body and life. There always lies a perception that animals meat and animal products are a rich source of protein but the researches shows that not only animal food but a proper and a balanced combination of vegetarian food is also a rich source of protein that can be added to the body and you do not need to consume meat, egg and other related animals made food materials.

 

The whole idea about veganism lies in the fact that who gave us right to slaughter the other living being and utilize it for benefits irrespective of the fact that same benefits can be availed without this evil cause.

 

What is so good about consuming a non vegetarian diet, when all the essential nutrients can be found in the vegetarian food as well? This vegetarian food will not disturb our food chain and the balance on the surface of the earth.

 

To understand the cause and the concept behind veganism is crucial, you cannot force others to follow veganism but can explain the root causes and that may be a step towards a change on our planet and this change can be constructive, when achieved slowly, this may a step towards saving the animal life and getting free from the evil of being a killer.
